Wax...Hand Carving

Though the computer generated prototype is often desirable, there are times when a wax must be hand carved.  This is most evident when a piece of jewelry must be created which will be worn with a customer’s existing piece.

There are also times when a jewelry design is so complex that the creation of a computer file would take several times longer than cutting a comparable wax by hand.  An example of this would be the piece pictured below.

For these reasons it is best to work with a carver who can offer the finest quality product in both of these areas.

Doc has been carving waxes by hand since 1974 and has made literally thousands of wax models.
